National Premiere at the UMC Arcul de Triumf

On 26 February 2010, within Arcul de Triumf UMC clinic was made an intervention of total mastectomy with ganglion hallowing for a malign tumor formation of the right breast in the central quadrant, with immediate reconstruction of the breast, by breast implant.

The intervention was made by: Dr. Gogescu Gabriel- oncology specialist surgeon, Dr. Ionescu Radu- plastic surgeon and Dr. Ologu Rodica- anesthetist.

The total mastectomy is a necessity curative solution in breast cancer, although being a mutilating intervention with devastating psychical effect on the woman. For this reason, the most advanced clinics in the world decided that this intervention must be completed by an immediate breast reconstruction that offers the psychical and emotional advantage of keeping the firmness.

We are honored to announce the beginning of a breast-screening program and the treatment of tumoral formation within UMC, facing the bigger and bigger request to resolve this pathology in private system.
